Scottsdale Presbyterian Church – Corner of Hayden and Osborn Roads

The début performance of the MusicaNova Chamber Orchestra will feature music from the 17th, 18th, and early 19th Centuries for small ensembles and solo instruments.  Guest artists include Fábio Bartoloni, guitar soloist, and Viveca Lawrie, trumpet soloist.

Fabio Bartoloni Square 300 Fábio Bartoloni, guitar soloist, holds the Master in Music and Bachelor in Classical Guitar degrees from São Paulo State University in Brazil, and is completing his DMA in guitar performance at Arizona State University.  He has performed, recorded, and held numerous teaching positions in both Brazil and the USA.  Fàbio appeared in a MusicaNova Collaborative Concert in January 2015 with the ASU Guitar Ensemble and his own Duo Lucatelle-Bartoloni with pianist, and now wife, Danielle Lucatelle.  He currently performs with MusicaNova cellist Luciana Gallo as the Iguazu Duet.  His Doctoral Recital is March 2 in the Organ Hall at ASU.


Viveca Lawrie, trumpet soloist, is a 16-year-old home-schooled junior. She studies trumpet with David Hickman, trumpet professor at Arizona State University.  Viveca is currently principal trumpet of both the Phoenix Youth Symphony and the Youth Symphony of the Southwest.  She spent her early life in Sedona, beginning trumpet at the age of 10, and won first place in the Verde Valley Concert Association’s Rising Stars competition on both trumpet and piano. Viveca has been selected as a semifinalist in the National Trumpet Competition in March 2016.
