Doors Open at 4 PM – Music Begins at 4:30

Help MusicaNova get the 2018-19 season off to a running start by attending our 2018 Summer Salon Concert kickoff and fundraiser on August 25.  We’ll tell you about the season’s Orchestra Concert series “Reflection, Discovery, and Hope,” including an American and an Arizona premiere and new interpretations of music from Debussy, Chaminade, Prokofiev, Bruckner, Mozart, Franck, and more.  Each concert features a world premiere from a MusicaNova Composition Fellow and an exceptional young soloist performing with the orchestra.

If that’s not enough you’ll learn more about upcoming performances in our noted Young Artists series and our free, family-friendly Community Concerts, as well as new partners in our Educational Outreach and Collaboration program.

You’ll enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine, and soft drinks, and singer-songwriter-guitarist Stefan Crane will play his own innovative contemporary music.  Dress is summer casual and admission is free; we do suggest a $50 per adult minimum donation.

Your support helps us fulfill our mission to play the greatest new music in Arizona!  We look forward to seeing you on August 25th!

Sorry we missed you, it was a great concert!  Get Stefan’s new EP Reflections on iTunes

About the Artist

Raised in a family of classical musicians, Stefan Crane began playing classical guitar at the age of four. He grew up primarily in Jacksonville, Florida and Birmingham, Alabama, and over the years began admiring the sounds of John Mayer, Pearl Jam, The Civil Wars, Ben Howard, Jack Johnson and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Stefan’s sound draws from rootsy, blues-rock styles, and he explores unique guitar accompaniments to support his raw vocal melodies. While receiving a BA in Philosophy, Neuroscience and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, and during his time spent working in the corporate world, Stefan rediscovered his passion for music and eventually decided to pursue it full-time.
