Featured artists include: Derek Sanchez, Principal Trumpet, MusicaNova Orchestra. A versatile teacher and prolific performer, Derek leads brass studies at the Arizona School for the Arts, and is the Principal Solo Cornet of the Salt River Brass, in addition to many professional and community orchestras and theater companies throughout the Valley of the Sun. He plays exclusively on Yamaha trumpets. Nina Rowe, trumpet, is currently a junior at the Arizona School for the Arts and in the ASA band and jazz program, She is currently private student of Derek’s, and a member of the Phoenix Youth Symphony, Sonic Brass, and a recreational Ska-Punk mother daughter band, Spiderbaby. Drew Quiring, piano, is completing his DMA in collaborative piano performance at ASU under Dr. Andrew Campbell and serves as Staff Pianist for the Herberger Institute’s School of Music. Originally from Canada, he has studied both organ and piano, and been a member of several award-winning ensembles.
